Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Family Loop ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Family Loop is a web application that integrates with Google Calendar to provide family calendar management, chore tracking, and gamification features. The Service is designed to help families organize their schedules and manage household responsibilities.

User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation

  • You must have a Google account to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • Parents are responsible for managing their children's profiles

Acceptable Use

Google Calendar Integration

Family Data and Privacy

When you create a family account:

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Data Ownership and Portability

  • You retain ownership of your calendar data (stored in Google Calendar)
  • You own the family-specific data (chores, points, assignments)
  • You can export or delete your data at any time
  • We may provide data export tools upon request

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or calendar events
  • Service interruptions or outages
  • Integration issues with Google Calendar
  • Disputes between family members

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Deleting your family account through the settings
  • Revoking Google Calendar access
  • Contacting us to request account deletion

We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risks.

Children's Use

The Service is designed for family use, including children under parental supervision. Parents are responsible for:

  • Obtaining necessary consents for children's use
  • Monitoring their children's use of the Service
  • Managing privacy settings for children's data
  • Ensuring appropriate use by all family members

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
